Free gear repairs at the ORCBC conference
Got a torn jacket or a broken zipper? Bring it to the ORCBC Conference.
The KORE Re-Hub Tour is launching its 2026 season at the conference, bringing its mobile outdoor gear repair trailer on site to fix jackets, sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, and other soft goods - for free.
Conference attendees can drop off items in need of repair and pick them up later the same day. Professional technicians will be on hand with industrial sewing machines, heat welders, and more. (Just make sure your gear is clean and free of duct tape.)
The Re-Hub Tour is run by the Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise (KORE) and is all about keeping gear in use and out of the landfill. It’s a simple idea with a big impact: repair what you have, reduce waste, and make your gear last longer.
If something needs more extensive work, the team can connect you with Kootenay-based repair specialists.
Bringing gear back to life is good for your wallet and for the places we love to explore.
