Your support helps ORCBC advocate for public access, strengthen recreation organizations, support community stewardship and ensure outdoor recreation is considered in decisions affecting B.C.’s future.

There are several ways to support this work.

Make a one-time donation

A one-time gift provides flexible support for ORCBC’s advocacy, programs, research and sector-building work.

Your donation can help us:

  • Speak up for outdoor recreation in government and land-use decisions

  • Support community and volunteer organizations

  • Develop practical resources and learning opportunities

  • Advance responsible recreation and stewardship

  • Strengthen outdoor recreation across B.C.

Become a monthly donor

Monthly giving provides reliable, ongoing support that helps ORCBC plan ahead and respond to emerging issues.

Even a modest monthly contribution can make a meaningful difference over time.

Give in honour or memory

A donation in honour or memory of someone is a meaningful way to recognize a person who values B.C.’s outdoor places.

You may choose to make a gift:

  • In memory of a family member, friend or colleague

  • To celebrate a birthday, retirement or other milestone

  • In recognition of someone’s contribution to outdoor recreation or stewardship

Where requested, ORCBC can notify the person or family that a gift has been made without sharing the amount.

Leave a legacy

A planned or legacy gift can help strengthen outdoor recreation for future generations.

You can support ORCBC through:

  • A gift in your will

  • A life insurance beneficiary designation

  • A registered account beneficiary designation

  • A gift of securities or other assets

Legacy gifts can support ORCBC’s province-wide advocacy, community stewardship, outdoor recreation programs and the organizations that care for B.C.’s trails, waterways and outdoor places. Gifts may also be directed to the Outdoor Recreation Fund of BC or discussed with us in relation to a particular area of interest.

You do not need to tell ORCBC that you have included us in your plans, but letting us know gives us an opportunity to thank you and better understand your wishes.

Donate securities

Donating publicly traded securities may be another way to support ORCBC.

Because financial and tax circumstances vary, donors should speak with their financial or tax advisor before making a gift of securities.

Please contact ORCBC before arranging a securities transfer so we can provide the necessary information and ensure the gift is properly acknowledged.

Corporate and foundation giving

Businesses, foundations and other organizations can support ORCBC through:

  • Charitable donations

  • Program or event sponsorship

  • Multi-year funding

  • Matching-gift programs

  • In-kind contributions

  • Employee giving and volunteer initiatives

We work with partners to identify opportunities that align with their values and create meaningful benefits for outdoor recreation and communities across B.C.

Gifts by mail or e-transfer

Donations by cheque can be made payable to:
