We have created a directory of some of the fundraising sources that can help your organization access funding for upcoming outdoor recreation initiatives, accessibility programs, trail maintenance, supply purchases, or professional development of your volunteer crew.

Current and upcoming grant opportunities
The Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP) is open until October 31, 2025. Rural and remote communities, First Nations and not-for-profit organizations can submit applications to fund projects that promote economic capacity building, economic diversification, resilience, clean economy opportunities, and infrastructure development.
The 2025 Two For The Trails grant opens for applications on August 15 and closes on September 4. Funding supports trail-related projects to be completed in 2026. Applicants are encouraged to apply early due to high demand. A view-only version of the application is available.
The Accessibility Projects Grants, administered by Disability Alliance BC, are now open for applications. BC-based not-for-profit organizations can apply for up to $40,000 for community engagement projects that advance accessibility in areas such as employment, emergency planning, arts, sports, education, and community participation. Applications are due by September 12, 2025, at 12pm PT.
The New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) community-based stream is a federal grant. It supports projects that are designed by seniors and for seniors in their communities. This program funds projects that empower seniors in their communities through increased social inclusion. Apply for up to $25,000 by September 17, 2025.
UBC’s Community-University Engagement Support Fund offers up to $25,000 to support partnerships between UBC and community organizations that advance equity, reconciliation, health, sustainability, and community wellbeing. Applications close September 25.
Sitka Foundation Activator Fund provides up to $25,000 for community-based organizations around the Salish Sea that rely on volunteers to achieve nature conservation goals. Applications are due October 1.
