Lead organization: Xa'xtsa (Douglas First Nation)
The official opening to our new community trail created for walking, biking, and cultural practices (Identifying and collecting medicinal plants). It's created in a remote community in a location that provides safe access for exercise and encourages community members and those interested in accessing trails and learning about medicinal plants. It also provides the local school and daycare to participate in these purposes.
This trail opening it to take place at our annual Stl'atl'imx Days celebration which will include attendees from all 11 communities. To mark the opening of the Xa'xtsa Elk Trail we will be holding a scavenger hunt for children and youth.
This event is open to the public.
