A couple of months ago, ORCBC convened a small working group to explore backcountry access and the growing challenges related to resource road deactivation. We’re now opening up the conversation to our members.

This roundtable will focus on gathering input on a simple, shared data collection tool designed to capture consistent information on road access issues, barriers, and recreational values across BC.

This work builds on efforts led by the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC and aims to strengthen the evidence base needed to support advocacy and inform decision-making. Member input will be key to refining the tool before it’s rolled out more broadly.
