Watershed Workforce: A Path to Environmental Careers is a free, two-day program for high school students in the Fraser Watershed.
In the Lower Fraser, this program is happening on BC/World Rivers Day weekend. Students will learn from Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and environmental experts, take part in hands-on projects, and paddle on the Fraser River.
The program introduces youth to career paths in watershed protection and stewardship, combining Indigenous knowledge with Western science through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach.
This event is open to youth ages 15 to 20.
