Lead organization: The Youth Excellence Society
For years, campers at The YES (Youth Excellence Society) have been discovering connection, resilience, and confidence on the forested hiking trails at Cowichan Lake. However, in recent years, the trails have become overgrown and unsafe, and this opportunity has been lost for our groups.
With the support of the Town of Lake Cowichan and the Cowichan Lake Education Centre, The YES has committed to contribute up to $25,000 to help rebuild the trails so campers can once again experience the benefits of outdoor education.
We are inviting supporters to join us on Saturday, June 27th from 10am to 4pm at The Cowichan Lake Education Centre to help us clear the trails! Your volunteer hours will help us offset the cost and make the trail ready for campers to start using this summer!
Volunteers do not have to stay for the full time, and food, cold drinks and tools will be provided. The Cowichan Lake Education Centre is located at 8885 Lakeview Park Rd, Lake Cowichan, BC, V0R 2G0.

This is a great chance to give back in a meaningful, tangible way. We encourage folks to share with their friends and family, and make a fun day out of it.
