Lead organization: Kitimat Understanding The Environment

Our annual Kitimat River Clean-Up is happening Saturday, September 12th in Kitimat!

Hosted by our local non-profit recycling depot, this annual fall event brings our community together to care for the Kitimat River and surrounding areas. Everyone is welcome to join, individuals, families, and teams!

All clean-up supplies will be provided, including gloves, hi-vis vests, garbage bags, and grabber tools. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers, along with some great door prizes.

We’ll also have community information booths featuring local organizations such as Kitimat Search and Rescue, Kitimat Valley Naturalists, and the BC Airshed Group.
