2026 BC Trails Day Microgrant Recipients

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our 2026 BC Trails Day Microgrant Program.

Thanks to the incredible support of our partners and community, we have been able to provide $300 microgrants to 31 groups across British Columbia to help cover essential expenses for local BC Trails Day events.

This year’s events showcase the incredible diversity of outdoor recreation and stewardship happening across the province. Activities include:

  • Trail work parties

  • ATV club rides

  • Group hikes

  • Invasive species pulls

  • Medicine walks

  • Scavenger hunts

  • Paddling excursions and beach clean-ups

  • Community stewardship and education activities

From Vancouver Island to Northern BC, recreation clubs, stewardship groups, Indigenous organizations, trail associations, paddling groups, and volunteer-led community organizations are coming together to celebrate and care for the places we love.

We are grateful to the generous supporters who made this program possible, including the BC Parks License Plate Program, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, McElhanney, and RC Strategies, as well as everyone who supported our recent raffle and individual donations. Together, these contributions allowed us to approve almost two-thirds of all applications received.

These supports make a tangible difference on the ground by helping local volunteers and organizations create welcoming, community-driven outdoor events that foster stewardship, connection, and active living.
