Lead organization: East Kootenay Invasive Species Council
Join the East Kootenay Invasive Species Council (EKISC) and community partners for a fun-filled day on one of the region's most scenic recreation corridors. As part of the 6th Annual BC Trails Day celebrations, we'll be set up at the Cranbrook trailhead of the Northstar Rails-to-Trails with invasive species education, giveaways, refreshments, prizes, and family-friendly activities.
Learn how you can help protect our trails and natural spaces through the PlayCleanGo program, which helps prevent the spread of invasive species while enjoying outdoor recreation. For those looking to get their hands dirty, EKISC will also be hosting a volunteer weed pull along the trail, giving participants the opportunity to make a direct impact on the health of this popular community asset.
Whether you choose to walk, run, cycle, skateboard, enjoy a trishaw ride, or simply take in the beautiful mountain views, there's something for everyone. Come connect with local organizations, learn about the Northstar Rails-to-Trails, and help keep our trails healthy, accessible, and invasive species-free for future generations.
Together, let's celebrate our trails and help protect the places we love to explore.
