Join us at Salmon Day 2025, a vibrant, family-friendly event dedicated to celebrating and protecting wild Pacific salmon and the rivers they swim in. This year’s event takes place at ƛ̓éxətəm Regional Park and is co-hosted by kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nation, Resilient Waters, Watershed Watch Salmon Society, and the UBC Pacific Salmon Ecology and Conservation Lab. Learn how we are working together to reconnect waterways to improve salmon's ability to access their habitats.

This free, drop-in event, held near the ƛ̓éxətəm community garden features activities including: interactive displays by community members, a fish identification session, a DIY salmon detector station, an opportunity to adopt a PIT tagged salmon activity, Q&A with researchers studying the impact of floodgates on Pacific salmon and their habitat, and engagement with Kwikwetlem First Nation, community members, staff and Guardians.
