Roberts Creek Native Plant Planting and Invasive Plant Removal

  • Roberts Creek Pier 999 Roberts Creek Road Roberts Creek, BC, V0N 2W4 Canada (map)

Lead organization: Sunshine Coast Streamkeepers Society

A community event to remove ivy from the riparian area of Roberts Creek. We will replace the ivy with native plants, ivy, Oregon grape and red twig dogwood! This is our 3rd annual World Rivers Day at this location. We have had similar invasive plant removal and plantings a few times a year.

What to bring: Please bring gloves, eye protection and small and/or large clippers and a watering can too! A small shovel and rake would help too.

What to wear: Please dress for the weather, rain gear (if raining), outdoor/gardening clothes that include long sleeves, sturdy waterproof boots are a must, and a hat is recommended.

Directions: Please meet us at the Pier/Mandala parking lot.

We look forward to seeing you all there! If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at scstreamkeepers@gmail.com.
