  • Mosquito Creek Park 1650 Fell Avenue North Vancouver, BC, V7M 1W2 Canada (map)

Lead organization: City of North Vancouver

Every year, the City participates in Rivers Day by hosting a community celebration. This year’s event is being held at Mosquito Creek Park to celebrate our local waterways and raise awareness about local streams and habitat.

The 2025 event will take place on Sunday, September 28, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Mosquito Creek Park. There will be a community planting and invasive plant pull with the City Park Stewards, community booths, and crafts like bat box painting, children’s performers that specialize in nature-based educational music (Well Worn Trail), live music (Angie Faith), Fire, C.A.P.S, Chalk Art & bubble blowing, Northshore Streamkeepers, Metro Van plant giveaway (Nutrafor), Recycle BC, Native Bee Society, Black Bear Society, and North Vancouver Book Bike (weather dependent).

This will be a fun, family-friendly event! Come by and check-out each of our booth participants, from painting homes for bats to learning about urban black bears and native pollinators, there will be something for everyone.
