Lead organization: Back Country Horsemen of BC Central Vancouver Island Chapter

The Spruston Staging Site South of Nanaimo BC has over 85km of extensive trails that link the Trans Canada Trail and enjoyed by many multi users. There has been an extensive mapping project completed and is available on Avenza free of charge. Our membership is over 100 and varies from weekend equestrians to long distance riders. We will be hanging 15 plastic horse shoes on the trail net works and encouraging riders to get out, explore, and use the mapping apps to ride the trails and look for a "lost" horse shoe" hung on a flagging ribbon. We are asking for participants to take 1 only and keep it for an awards day and potluck dated for July 5th. This gives all types of riders to get out and explore the trails.
