July 16, 2026 marks 100 years from the catastrophic fire that swept the Clearwater Valley. Over 2500 acres burned. Partially because of this loss of timber, the Wells Gray Park was established. The Upper Clearwater Volunteer Fire Brigade is organizing a series of hikes and talks to commemorate this event.
