Lead organization: Rivershed Society of B.C.
Watershed Workforce is an educational initiative designed to introduce youth in the Fraser Watershed to the many job opportunities in the watershed sector by connecting them with experts in the field through hands-on experiences, while embracing a ‘two-eyed seeing’ approach based in Indigenous knowledge. The program cultivates stewardship, offers career insights and combats youth migration to city centres, ensuring a sustainable future for the watershed and its communities. It includes a paddling expedition to build a connection to local waterways and ecosystems, and hands-on ecological restoration at sites co-managed by Rivershed and our collaborators through the Foodlands Corridor Restoration Program.
This event is for youth 15-20 years old.
