ORCBC 2026 Annual General Meeting - call for nominations and resolutions

The Outdoor Recreation Council of British Columbia (ORCBC) will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM PT.

ORCBC members are invited to submit nominations for the Board of Directors and resolutions for consideration at the AGM.

Board of Directors - Call for Nominations

Eight positions on the ORCBC Board of Directors will be up for election or re-election at the AGM.

Members are encouraged to nominate candidates who are engaged in outdoor recreation and interested in supporting the sector across British Columbia.

Nominations must include:

  • A brief biography or resume outlining the nominee’s experience

  • A written acceptance from the nominee

Deadline for nominations: April 7, 2026

In accordance with ORCBC’s bylaws, nominations cannot be accepted from the floor at the AGM. A list of nominees will be shared with members one month prior to the meeting.

Nominees must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in ORCBC’s bylaws and be affiliated with an ORCBC member organization or be an individual member.

Board members participate in monthly meetings (typically the third Monday at 6:00 PM via Zoom) and help guide ORCBC’s work on outdoor recreation policy, access, and community well-being.

Members’ Resolutions

Members may also submit resolutions for consideration at the AGM.

Resolutions should address issues relevant to the outdoor recreation sector in British Columbia and must be submitted by April 7, 2026.

Resolutions passed at the AGM serve in an advisory capacity, with the ORCBC Board determining next steps.
