We’re hiring: Community Relations & Administration Coordinator
We’re excited to be adding a new part-time employee position to support our mission of strengthening outdoor recreation across the province.
As advocates for sustainable outdoor recreation, we work with partners, volunteers, land managers, and governments to expand access to nature, support community recreation groups, and steward the places we all love to explore. Behind that work is a small, dedicated team, and we’re looking for someone who can help us continue making an impact.

About the role
Position: Community Relations & Administration Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-time employee (approx. 10 hours/week)
Compensation: $25-30/hour, statutory entitlements and a small monthly home office stipend
Location: Remote (based in BC)
Requirements: Need to have access to his/her own computer, internet and software.
Start Date: As soon as possible
The Community Relations & Administration Coordinator will play a key role in supporting ORCBC’s day-to-day administration, membership services, and donor relations. From responding to inquiries to helping nurture our growing community of supporters, this role keeps our operations running smoothly.
The position offers some scheduling flexibility; however, regular weekly overlap with core ORCBC working hours will be required to ensure effective communication and coordination with the Executive Director and team.

What you’ll do
General administration
Monitor the info@orcbc.ca inbox and respond or redirect messages as appropriate.
Process membership applications and renewals.
Issue membership invoices, including the full annual renewal cycle each January.
Maintain accurate administrative records.
Other tasks as needed
Community & member relations
Provide friendly, timely support to member organizations and individual supporters.
Assist with onboarding and renewal communications.
Help maintain a positive and consistent experience for all members.
Donor stewardship & fund development support
Support our annual giving program, including campaigns and email outreach.
Prepare donor thank-you messages and maintain donor tracking tools.
Grow and steward our monthly donor community.
What you bring
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Keen attention to detail and highly organized work style.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
Experience with invoicing, donor databases/spreadsheets, or small-nonprofit administration is an asset (but not required!).
A passion for outdoor recreation and stewardship in BC is a bonus.
