Lead organization: The Association of West Kootenay Rock Climbers

In 2020, the Association of West Kootenay Rock Climbers (TAWKROC) purchased a rock-climbing area know as The Waterline Walls in Castlegar, B.C.

Trail work initiated in 2025 showed that improvements to the trails to (and along) the base of the rock walls are a valued benefit to the community.

We plan to pursue this work in 2026.
Meeting at the Waterline outhouse is planned for 10am.

Tools will be provided by TAWKROC.

Participants should bring:

• Footwear (the heavier, the better; steel toe preferred)

• Work gloves

• Sturdy (but not valuable) field clothes

• Lunch

• Water

• Sunscreen

• Protective eyewear - sunglasses work well, but safety glasses are better
