Jackpine Wetland Interpretive Trail Kick-off BBQ

  • Jackpine Wetland Interpretive Trail Old Lakelse Lake Drive Terrace, BC, V8G Canada (map)

Lakelse Watershed Stewards Society is hosting a community BBQ and guided walks on the Jackpine Wetland Interpretive Trail, currently being constructed by the Lakelse Watershed Stewards Society (LWSS) in partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC) and many other local partners.

The 2 km loop trail will be entering Phase 3 of construction this year, and we are looking to kick things off with an appreciation BBQ open to all past, present, and future volunteers, trail users, and project supporters. An information booth on the Lakelse Watershed Stewards Society will also be set up to answer any potential questions from attendees, and guided walks through the trail will be led by society volunteers highlighting some of the unique wetland ecosystem features and species present in the area.
