Since 2011, every year on BC Rivers Day, the Elk River Alliance hosts a valley-wide community clean-up to help maintain a healthy Elk River watershed.
Stations are set up in Fernie, Sparwood, and Elkford, where participants will be provided with clean-up gear and data cards for a community science project.
Last year's clean-up resulted in the extraction of 9,983 trash items with the help of 608 volunteers.
Come out on September 28th to help the Elk River Alliance continue to protect the local watershed!
